MUKAGIHANA Josiane

Biography

Dr. Josiane Mukagihana is a Lecturer of Biology at the University of Rwanda College of Education. She holds a PhD in Biology Education from the University of Rwanda College of Education (2023), an MSc in Biotechnology from Mysore University, India (2015), and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biology with Education from the former Kigali Institute of Education.

She contributes to the quality of education in Rwanda through projects like the Rwanda Quality Basic Education for Human Capital Development (QBEHCD) and the Right to Play initiative. She is passionate about encouraging young females to pursue science and mathematics and is a member of the Rwandan Association of Women in Science and Engineering (RAWISE). She has published over ten articles, with eight as the corresponding author, and serves as a peer reviewer for international journals.
