| EmailAssoc. Prof. Epimaque Niyibizi is an Associate Professor of Applied English and Literacy Education in the School of Education, College of Education, at the University of Rwanda. He has been serving at the University of Rwanda - College of Education since 2001, holding various academic and administrative positions. He is currently the Deputy Dean of the School of Education, College of Education, and the Academic Lead for the College of Education programs at UR-Nyagatare Campus.
Assoc. Prof. Niyibizi earned his PhD in Applied Languages and Literacy Education from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 2015. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from UNISA, South Africa (2010), a Master’s degree in Educational and Social Research Methods from the University of Rwanda - College of Education (2008), and a Bachelor’s degree in English (Linguistics, Literature, and Translation) from the University of Rwanda (2000). Additionally, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, from 2017 to 2018.
Assoc. Prof. Niyibizi has published widely in the areas of Applied Linguistics, language policy in education, language education, literacy education, language management in multilingual settings, sociolinguistics, and educational leadership. His notable publications include :
